VEEDERSBURG, Ind.—Services for Arthur Hess, 54, who died yesterday (Feb. 28, 1969) in his home will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Christian Church in Veedersburg with the Rev. Fred Erickson officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery with Masonic Rites. The Parham Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements. Friends will be received at the funeral home after 3:30 p.m. tomorrow. Born in Illinois on April 4, 1914, Mr. Hess was the son of Roma and Cloie Stuckey Hess. He was married to Dorothy French in 1934. She survives. He was a member of the First Christian Church and Masonic Order 491, and was an employe of Olin Mathieson Corp. in Covington. Mr. Hess is also survived by three daughters, Mrs. Hilda Williams of College Station, Tex., Mrs. Hazel Smart of Attica, and Mrs. Rebeca Goings of Veedersburg; one son, Henry of Eaton Rapids, Mich.; two brothers, William of Danville and Walter of Oakwood, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Mae Larkins and Mrs. Alberta Thornton, both of Potomac; and seven grandchildren.  --typed by Walt W
